Oyunba Ayodele Soyode was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1974 after having obtained a 1st degree in political Science from the University of Exeter in 1968 and a 2 nd bachelors degree in law from the University of Ife (now renamed the Obafemi Awolowo University)

Upon her call to the Nigerian bar she joined the firm as a pupil counsel and rose through the ranks to become Principal Partner in December 1987 she held this position until her death on the 10 th of April 2011. Mrs. Soyode was very active in public life and as a mark of honour the Apapa Local Government changed the name of the street where the firm is located Park Lane to Otunba Ayodele Soyode Lane after her demise.
